Kulina beach: swimming beside history
One of the best known and most photographed beaches in Starigrad is Kulina, recognisable by the old tower, Večka kula, that rises at the edge of the water. The pebble beach has a clean, easy entry into the sea and suits a whole day with the family as much as a walk at sunset.
Pisak beach: fine pebbles for children
If you are travelling with little ones, Pisak is the sure choice. The fine natural pebbles are easy underfoot and the shallows reach far out, so parents can relax while the children play in warm water.
Where to find quiet
To get away from everything, drive toward Tribanj and Barić Draga. Along the road you will find small, unmarked coves cut into the rock of the Velebit, where you will often be alone with clear water and silence.
