The best restaurants in Starigrad Paklenica: where to eat near the villa

After a day beside your private heated pool, or in the canyon of Paklenica, you do not need to travel far for a very good meal. Starigrad Paklenica has several, from a steakhouse to traditional taverns. This is our list.

B&T Restaurant

Right by the shore, B&T joins an easy seaside mood with a wide menu of traditional dishes: fresh Adriatic fish, grilled meat and good burgers. Dinner comes with the sound of the waves and a glass of wine.

Ante Restaurant & Steak House

For anyone who loves a properly cooked piece of meat, Ante on the main road is the address. It is known for its steaks, for lamb from the spit and for dishes cooked under the peka, the iron bell. Portions are generous and the sides are home-made.

Taverna Konoba Marasović

In the old hamlet of Marasovići, at the entrance to Paklenica National Park, this stone tavern has a setting of its own. It is the place for dishes made the old way: home-cured ham, cheese, veal under the peka and game.

Restaurant Dalmacija

A classic Dalmatian restaurant with a long tradition and a fine terrace: grilled squid, black risotto and mixed seafood. Service is quick and professional, which makes it a good choice for a family dinner.

Kaleta and Fratelli

For a lighter evening, or a pizza after an active day, Starigrad has two good options. Pizzeria Kaleta serves its pizzas in a pleasant Dalmatian setting in the centre. Fratelli Pizza Bar has a more modern Italian touch, with thin, well-baked dough and toppings such as prosciutto, rocket and fresh mozzarella.

All of them are a short walk or a few minutes' drive from the villas.
