When you stay in a private villa, food is part of the whole experience. The Zadar region brings together traditional Dalmatian cooking, fresh Adriatic fish and modern technique. Whether you want a quiet dinner beside the sea or a tasting menu, these are the restaurants we recommend.

Foša, Zadar

In the old town, right beside the monumental Land Gate from the 16th century, Foša is a byword for fine dining in Zadar. It joins a long tradition with a contemporary kitchen, and its terrace sits directly on the water of the small harbour. Try the fish tasting menu with local wines such as Pošip or Maraština.

Kornat, Zadar

Close to the waterfront, Kornat is one of the most elegant addresses in the city, with a tradition of more than two decades. It is the place for excellent cuts of meat, Adriatic tuna and fresh seafood, served in a refined room with attentive service.

Konoba Pece, Vinjerac

For something simpler and closer to the villas, Konoba Pece in the fishing village of Vinjerac looks across the channel to the Velebit. No foams and no gels here: very fresh fish from the grill, local olive oil and first-rate shellfish.

After dinner, the terrace and the pool of your own villa are waiting.
